While the Basic Leather Crafting Workshop focuses more on fundamental tools, the Leather Card Holder Workshop explores the use of specialized tools that can produce finer and more professionally-made looking projects.
Let's have a look at the tools that will be delivered to your doorstep when you sign up for the Leather Card Holder Online Workshop.
This is the set of tools and materials that come with the basic registration fee.
1 - Divider caliper; used to crease or mark along leather edge as a guide for punching stitch holes
2 - Diamond chisels; used to punch slits that give stitches a slanted orientation, creating a similar look to machine stitching. Students get a set of 4 pieces: 6-prong, 4-prong, 2-prong, and single-prong.
3 - Awl; used to mark and widen stitch holes as well as trace patterns onto leather, in lieu of a silver pen
4 - Thread; leather crafting thread, coated in bees wax to prevent fraying
5 - Tapestry needles; needles used for hand-stitching
6 - Veg-tanned leather in the colors of your choice
7 - Bone folder; a dull-edged hand tool used to fold and crease leather
8 - Leather Cleaner; cleans silver pen marks and small blemishes on leather
9 - Pattern; a template that is traced on the leather to create the shapes needed for the project
